What is the Santa Monica Seismic Retrofit Program Process?

The Santa Monica City buildings displaying age, appearance, construction material, design and structural records, may indicate a need for earthquake retrofitting buildings in Santa Monica CA.

The Santa Monica California buildings appearing on the seismic retrofit list will receive a notice from the City of Santa Monica to complete a structural analysis of the buildings.  The buildings in Santa Monica, found to be in non-compliance with established building and structural standards for an earthquake will be ordered to strengthen the building through a seismic retrofit.
